Arez Ardalani will begin his first season as Head Coach of Texas United. Prior to joining Texas United, the Harlingen native served as the assistant coach at FC Cleburne for the franchises rookie year. Ardalani has coaching experience in the Premier Development League, NCAA Division I and U.S. Soccer Development Academy. Alongside his duties with Texas United, Ardalani serves as a staff coach and video analyst for the Dallas Texans US Soccer Development Academy program.
Before moving to the Dallas area he served as the volunteer assistant coach for the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley during the programs 2016 season. While in the RGV, Ardalani was also a part of the Houston Dynamo South Texas Academy as a staff coach. In 2015 Ardalani spent time with the Houston Dutch Lions where he served as a staff coach for both the PDL team and club youth academy. With the men’s team Ardalani’s primary focus was on the recruiting of players from multiple university programs, oppositional scouting, and post-match performance reports. Ardalani assisted in the development of the organization’s first ever “PDL Invitational Tryout”. The tryout was a selective event in which applications were received from the best collegiate soccer players around the country, some of who eventually moved on to play in the United Soccer League.
In 2013 Ardalani was also the first ever head coach for Texas A&M University-Kingsville Women’s Soccer team (NIRSA). His responsibilities included acquisition of club funding, coaching, recruiting and administrative work for the club. The team competed in the Texas Collegiate Soccer League against programs like the University of Texas, Texas State University, and the University of Texas- San Antonio. Ardalani also played three seasons for the RGV Bravos/Ocelots in the PDL and Southern Premier Soccer League.
