Texas United is thrilled to welcome Furman University defender Slade Starnes for the 2023 Season.
Slade came through the MLS Academy playing for FC Dallas. He was a two-time team captain for the U19 team and was invited to preseason training with FC Dallas.
Starnes was also invited to train during the preseason with North Texas Soccer Club which competes in the MLS NEXT Pro.
Starnes had played in all 18 games for Furman this season, starting 17. In those 18 games, Starnes scored 3 goals and logged two assists in his inaugural season for the paladins.
