Texas United announces Cornell University forward Alione Ka

Texas United is excited to welcome Cornell University forward Alioune Ka for the 2023 season.

Alioune will be coming back to his home state of Texas to play for Texas United this season. Originally from North Richland Hills, Alioune ran cross country and played soccer at Richland High School. He was named the All-District 3-6A Midfielder MVP in 2019 and was a four-year district qualifier for cross country. Alioune also played club soccer for Solar Soccer Club in Allen, Texas.

Following high school, Alioune attended Cornell University. In his freshman year in 2021, Alioune came on as a substitute in each of the 15 games he played. He managed two goals and one assist in 529 minutes.

As a sophomore in 2022, he started in each of the six games he played in and scored two goals and one assist. He found the back of the net in September against UC Santa Barbara and UC Irvine to clinch back-to-back victories for the Bears.

Welcome home, Alioune!
