Texas United is Excited to Announce the Signing of Midfielder Stefan Mason

Texas United Football Club is thrilled to welcome British Midfielder Stefan Mason for the 2023 Season.

Stefan was born in Knowle, United Kingdom, and Attended Arden Academy in Solihull, United Kingdom from 2011 to 2016. He played soccer, basketball, rugby, tennis, cricket, and athletics, and ran cross country. Mason played soccer for the Wolverhampton Wanderers Academy from 2011-2016 where he Captained the Wolves in 2014. He went on to make 106 appearances for the Wolves and scored 43 goals. He then joined Walsall FC in 2016 He played for Walsall’s U23/Reserve in 2017 and won a Midland championship. Stefan captained the U18 and U23 teams in 2018 and won a U23 league championship. In 103 appearances he scored 21 goals and added 31 assists for Walsall.

In August 2019, Mason committed to play for Hofstra University in Long Island. Stefan played 17 and started 12 games in his first season, recording a goal and an assist. In 2020-21, He played in and started all 10 games where he had two assists on the season. He was in the Third Team All-Colonial Athletic Association selection, All-CAA Championship Team selection, Named to CoSIDA Academic All-America Third Team, and was a CoSIDA Academic All-District I selection. This past season, Stefan was a captain and played 17 games to help the Pride to a 14-4-3 Record.
