Texas United Welcome Bailey Sparks back to the team for the 2023 Season

Texas United is thrilled to have the SMU forward Bailey Sparks return to the team for the 2023 season. Sparks started 3 games last season for TUFC and played 180 minutes.

Bailey brings back both national and international experience after receiving three caps as part of the 2019 U17 Youth National US Team and playing in the 2018 Futsal World Tournament in Barcelona, Spain.

Like teammates JP Jordan and Luis Sahmkow, Bailey played club soccer at Solar Soccer Club. He helped the team to a U17 DA National Championship in 2019,
while earning Player of the Tournament honors. Sparks was selected to the United Soccer Coaches All-American Team and was an All-South Region selection in 2019 and went on to play for Sporting Kansas City’s Academy Sporting Kansas City 2 (USL).

For SMU, as a freshman, Bailey appeared in 15 matches and made seven starts. He scored his first Mustang goal at Memphis in October. Sparks totaled 18 shots including four on frame in logged 919 total minutes. As a sophomore, he started 16 matches and scored two goals, and two assists in 1245 minutes.

Welcome back, Bailey!
