Texas United is excited to announce the signing of Spanish Midfielder/Defender, Sergio Ors Navarro for the 2023 Season!

Texas United welcomes West Virginia University’s Sergio Ors Navarro to the club for the upcoming season. The redshirt junior grew up in Spain where he played for UCAM Murcia and third-division side Castellón.

During his High School years in Spain, Sergio played for UCAM Murcia in the 4th division of Spanish soccer for head coach Raul Campuzano. He also played his youth soccer for Castellón and Marcet. Sergio also played for the U-18 Comunidad Valenciana Team. Before he moved across the athletic ocean to West Virginia, he Previously attended Universidad Catolica San Antonio de Murcia.

In his first playing year at WVU, Sergio Made his debut against Northern Illinois, logging 41 minutes.

He played in eight games, including six starts, in 423 minutes of action. He finished the season with one goal and one assist. That first career goal was at SIUE, good enough to be the game-winner. In his second season, Sergio was named an academic All-Big 12 At-Large Second Team He played in all 21 matches. In his more defensive role, he helped the team to nine clean sheets on the year. Head Coach Dave Jacobs will hope this defensive strength will be translated to his team this summer.
